Ankara Central (İvedik) Water Treatment Plant Capacity Expansion Project – 4th Unit
Özaltın İnşaat has initiated the construction of the 4th Unit of the Ankara Central (İvedik) Water Treatment Plant to strengthen the long-term security of Ankara’s potable water supply. The project involves expanding the plant’s existing treatment capacity through the integration of a new unit into the treatment processes for raw water conveyed from regional reservoirs, with the objective of enhancing operational efficiency and system sustainability.
Scheduled for completion within two years and planned for commissioning in 2027, the new unit will increase the plant’s daily treatment capacity from 1,692,000 m³ to 2,256,000 m³. This expansion will make a significant contribution to meeting Ankara’s growing potable water demand in a reliable and uninterrupted manner, while supporting high water quality standards and the city’s long-term water management strategy.
